Mildred Virginia Sparks

Mildred Virginia (Allen) Sparks departed this life peacefully on January 23rd, 2025, in Branson. Born on July 20th, 1927, in Potosi, a daughter to the late Harry and Mamie (Huit) Allen. Mildred was a loving, caring, and compassionate individual whose presence touched the lives of many.
Mildred found joy in visiting loved ones and the simple pleasures of taking walks, quilting, and reading. Her unwavering love and dedication to her family were reflected in her proudest accomplishments, her many grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy and pride.
Mildred was united in marriage to Merle Sparks on July 27, 1945. 
Mildred is survived by her loving daughter Beverly Arnold, and husband, Tom, of Hollister; daughter-in-law, Karen Sparks of St. Louis; four grandchildren, Dr. Megan Sparks and fiancé Dr. Jesse Stokke of Springfield; Shannon and Partner Jason Hernandez of Seattle, Washington; Becky and husband Anthony Allemroth of Jefferson City, and Tim Arnold and his wife Jesica of Hillsboro; eight great-grandchildren, Tyler, Madison, Jordan, Drew, Porter, Jack, Cadence, and Caleb; and a great-great-great grandchild, Kalliah, all whom will miss her dearly. She was also loved by many special nieces and nephews. 
Mildred is proceeded in death by her loving husband, Merle Sparks mother, Mamie (Huit) Allen, her father, Harry Allen; her son, Allen Sparks; a grandchild, Anthony "Tony" Sparks; five sisters, Florence Jarvis, Gladys Hodges, Dorthy Jenkins, Hazel Lewis, and Eunice Allen; three brothers, Floyd Allen, Web Allen, and Virgil Allen.
​Mildred will be remembered for her love for her family and friends, she will be missed dearly by all who have had the honor of knowing her.
Visitation for Mildred was held Tuesday, January 28th from 12 noon to 2 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi with the funeral services taking place at 2 P.M. with Pastor Mike Jarvis and Pastor Jody Kilburn officiating. 
Burial and final prayers took place at High Point Cemetery in Potosi. Serving as pallbearers were Shannon Sparks, Dr. Megan Sparks, Dr. Jesse Stokke, Dr. William Allen, and Porter Allemroth.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Faith Hospice of the Ozarks at 123 Johnstown Dr.; Rogersville, Missouri 65742.
All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
