Jeffery Robert Luther

Jeffery Robert Luther, known by his family and friends as Jeff, was born on February 21, 1965, in Cadet, a son of Robert Luther and the late Catherine (Pickett) Luther. Jeff passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson at the age of 59.
Throughout his life, Jeff worked diligently in the construction industry, where he made many great contributions, including the construction of a parking lot at Lambert Airport in St. Louis and assisted with the development of the Taum Sauk Reservoir.  As proud veteran, Jeff served in the United States Army, an experience that shaped him both personally and professionally. Following his military service, he maintained a strong bond with his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and often participated in horseshoe tournaments with friends. Jeff was also known for his love of music, particularly his fondness for Bob Seger's timeless tunes, which he would often sing.
Jeff had a deep and special love for his daughter, Lisa, who was a central figure in his life. Additionally, Jeff shared a close relationship with his brother Donnie, describing them as "two peas in a pod." 
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Luther; his loving partner of five years, Angie Naumann; his father, Robert Luther; and his siblings, Paula Thurman (Denny Goodson), Phillis (Gary) Wills, Marylin (Rob) Dawson, and Donnie Luther. Jeff also cherished his special cousin and best friend, Kelly Eckhoff; step sisters Brenda Goff-Williams, Cary Williams as well Donna Goffcates; along with many other extended family members and friends who will remember him fondly.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Luther; his granddaughter, Angel Luther; two brothers, Billy Luther and David Luther; and Deanna Luther.
Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and the direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
