Funeral services were conducted March 28 in DeSoto for Joseph Kyle Boyer, of Tiff, who died in DeSoto March 25.

Mr. Boyer, son of the late Joseph Blake and Amy Farnsworth Boyer, was born September 24, 1883, at Fertile, Mo., and was 76 at the time of his death.

A former employee of Maloney and Company, St. Louis, Mr. Boyer retired two years ago and had made his home in Tiff until his illness.

He is survived by his wife, Ella (nee Missey); one son, Owen K., of DeSoto; and five daughters: Mrs. Willma Boxwell of Hematite; Mrs. Robert Borri (Faye), of Champaign, Ill.; Mrs. Jerry Riley (Eva) of St. Louis; and Mrs. Tony DeAro (Amy) of Los Angelas. Two children, a son, Reed and a daughter, Iris preceded him in death.

Surviving also is one sister, Miss All Boyer of Tiff, sixteen grandchildren and three great-granchildren.

Also preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Alfred, of Dupo, Ill.; and Charlie, Joplin, Mo. and two sisters, Mrs. Albert Greenhill of Herculaneum and Mrs. Saron Boyer of Irondale.

Funeral services were held March 28 in the chapel of Mahn’s Funeral Home in DeSoto, and interment was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at Tiff.
