Helen Geraldine Watson

Helen Geraldine Watson of Potosi, was born on January 4, 1930 in Flint, Michigan, a daughter of the late Artie and Daphne (Franklin) Baker. Helen went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, December 6, 2020 having reached the age of ninety years, eleven months, and two days.

On August 23, 1947 Helen was united in marriage to Robert Watson and they shared 30 years together.

Those who remain to celebrate her life include three children, Danny Wayne Watson, Timmy Ray (Theresa) Watson, and Terri Jean Mills; and fourteen grandchildren. Helen is also survived by many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her father and mother, Helen was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Robert J. Watson; second husband, Robert Branaugh; son, Robert Gary Watson; grandson, Joshua Ray Watson; two daughters-in-law, Genevieve Jeane Watson, Jo Marie Watson; eight siblings, Alma Myrl Morehead, Laverne Blackburn, Maxine Taylor, Ralph Baker, Clint, Baker, Kenneth Baker, Clifford, Baker, and Bill Baker.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 11th from 5 to 8 p.m. at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation resumed on Saturday, December 12th from 9 to 11 a.m.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 12th at 11 a.m. held at the DeClue Chapel.

Interment followed at Qulin Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
