Barbara Davis

Barbara Laverne Davis, born on August 3, 1951, in Park Hills, Missouri, departed this life on April 20, 2025. She was a loving soul known for her exceptional kindness, selflessness, and caring nature, always putting others before herself. Barbara’s gentle spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Sheila Sappington and her husband Danny of Potosi, Missouri, and Dawn Young along and Brad McFarland of Bonne Terre, Missouri. Additionally, she leaves behind her son, Christopher Davis of Belgrade, Missouri, and her sister, Janet Byington of Martin, Tennessee. The legacy of Barbara is further carried on through her cherished grandchildren: Lauren Wall, Tristin Frago, Gracelynn Davis, Brendan Young, Brayden Young, Jarrett Sappington, and Brianna Ayres. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Caysen West, Kaislee Helms, Chance Frago, Kallie Helms, and Willow Frago.
Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Donnie Davis, and her parents, Maudie (Gowen) Barton and Delmar Barton; sisters, Mary Davis, Irene DeClue, Louella Rogers, Delores Thurmond and brothers, Alvie, Donnie, Ronnie, Ricky, Russell, Lonnie Barton. Her family finds comfort in the countless memories shared and the love she brought into their lives.
Barbara's life was a testament to love and dedication, and she will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
Visitation for Barbara was held Wednesday, April 23 from 9 A.M.-1 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi. Funeral Services took place at the same location at 1 P.M. the same day with Bro. Jay O’Neail officiating.
Burial and final prayers took place at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Potosi. Serving as pallbearers were Tristin Frago, Donnie Barton, Christopher Davis, Jacob Davis, Caysen West, Mark Kay, Eddie Reese and Travis Barton.
All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
