Darryl Lynn Merrill

Darryl Lynn Merrill of Potosi was born on August 6, 1957 in Bonne Terre, a son to the late Lynn Delbert Merrill and the late Rosemary Alice (Whitworth) Merrill. Darryl passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

On July 20, 1985, Darryl was united in marriage to Sheila Kinnard in Dallas, Texas and two children were born to this union.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his wife of 35 years, Sheila Merrill; two daughters, Krista Leigh Edwards and husband Travis, Koty Lynne Merrill; four grandchildren, Avery, Jonathan, Arliss, and Katie Edwards; two sisters, Jeanie Merrill-Doss and husband Bob, Tammy Skaggs and husband Scott; mother-in-law, Sue Kinnard; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Gary Kinnard, Jimmy and Ashley Kinnard, and Danny and Katy Kinnard. Darryl will also be missed by nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and many dear friends.

Darryl was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Rosemary Merrill; brother, Brian Merrill; and father-in-law, Sonny Kinnard.

Visitation for Darryl was held on Monday, December 28th from 5 to 8 P.M. at DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi. Visitation resumed on Tuesday morning from 9 to 11 A.M.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 29th at 11 A.M. at the DeClue Chapel with Elder Mike Jarvis officiating.
