Anita Louise (Nash) Bedford

Anita Louise (Nash) Bedford of Courtois passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loved ones having reached the age of 62 years and 29 days. She was born November 29, 1958 in Bonne Terre, a daughter to the late Wilburn Tobe and Elizabeth (Peterson) Nash.

On May 18, 1976, Anita was united in marriage to Vernie Bedford Jr. who survives of the home. Through the years, Anita worked as a cook for Stone Crest Nursing Home in Viburnum and as a caregiver for DCAI. Anita enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. She enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and tending to her animals especially her goats.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Elizabeth Nash; three sisters, Gloria Harmon, Margaret Lashley, and Lena Beth Williams; two brothers, David Nash and Johnny Nash; her infant daughter, Ilene Bedford, and five grand-babies.

Anita will be sadly missed by her husband of 44 years, Vernie Bedford Jr.; six children, Wilburn “Leroy” Nash, Angie Baum and husband Danny, Sam Bedford, Brandy Bedford, Andrea Miner and husband Shawn, and Tiffany DeClue and husband Nathan; sixteen grandchildren, Stormie Nash, Kendra Asher, Jamie Baum, Zach Bedford, Courtney Bedford, Jenny Bedford, Alexander Bedford, Collier Bedford, Ashlyn Bedford, Abby Rankin, Katie Miner, Jesse Miner, Kara Miner, Mikey Miner, Braxton Bedford, and Hunter DeClue; two great-grandchildren, Cavin Asher and Kade McGee; six siblings, Jim Nash, Clyde Nash, Calvin Harmon and wife Sue, Kenny Nash, Cathy Norwick and Ann Rawson and husband Bob. Anita is also survived by many other dear relatives and friends.

A visitation was held on Thursday, December 31st from 12 to 2 P.M. at DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi. A funeral service immediately followed the visitation beginning at 2 P.M.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
