Shirley Juanita Lawson

Shirley Juanita Lawson of Mineral Point was born on March 21, 1937 in Washington County, a daughter of the late Marion and Ora (Cantrell) Price. Shirley passed away on January 6, 2021 having reached 83 years of age.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her son, Marion “Joe” Lawson, grandchildren, Rebecca Young and husband Shannon, Krashawn Lawson, Michael Kelley, Michele Boyer and husband David, Shanna Lawson Zgiet and Brittany Thurmond and husband Harry; great grandchildren, Brianna, Shelby, Brendan, Corin, Dylan, Xavier, Izabella, Slade, Brady, Noah and Hudson; great-great grandchild, Royalty; siblings, Carol Cain and husband Albert, Vincent Price and wife Judy; sister-in-law, Glenda Price; brother-in-law, Lloyd Cantrell and wife Doris.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Ora Price; husband, Rev. Marion W. Lawson; daughter, Regina Ann (Lawson) Kelley; son, Ronnie Dale Lawson; granddaughter, Michelle Lawson; siblings, Alfreida Richards, Harvey Price, Edward Price, Frances Price, and Leroy Price.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 10th at DeClue Funeral Home from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Visitation resumed on Monday, January 11th beginning at 11 A.M.

A funeral service was held on Monday, January 11th at 1 P.M. at DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bob Thurman and Bro Chuck Cantrell officiating. Interment followed the service at New Diggins Cemetery in Mineral Point.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
