Betty McNabb

Betty Lou (Gain) McNabb of Potosi was born September 11, 1935 in Engleburg Arkansas, a daughter to the late Charles and Christie (Chesser) Gain. Betty departed this life Sunday, January 17, 2021 having reached the age of 85 years, 4 months and 6 days.
On July 24, 1954 Betty was united in marriage to Mahlon “Mac” McNabb and they were blessed with sixty-six wonderful years together.
Betty is survived by her husband “Mac” McNabb of Potosi; son, Mike McNabb and wife Bev of Nixa; daughter, Deborah McNabb of Potosi; sisters, Erma Blair and husband Robert of Shelburne, Vermont, Mary Corey and husband Ron of Burlington, Vermont; brother, Paul Gain of Pocahontas, Arkansas; granddaughter, Andrea Holland and husband James of St. Charles and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Richard McNabb; brother, Edward Cain and sister, Pauline Smith.
Betty was always on the go and lived life to its fullest. She was an avid trout fisher and loved to travel to new places and meet new people. She was always ready for a day trip and loved riding motorcycles. She was a faithful member of the St. James Catholic Church and enjoyed taking long walks around her neighborhood with her dog. Her family is what was most important to her and she cherished every moment she spent with them. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
Funeral services for Betty were held Thursday, January 21st at 10 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Potosi with Father Rodger Fleming officiating.
Burial and final prayers took place at Red Bud Memorial Gardens in Potosi.
All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
