Jeffery Lynn Blount Sr.

Jeffery Lynn Blount Sr., of Potosi, was born on September 3, 1964 in Potosi, a son to the late Donald Blount Sr. and the late Lelia Helen (Courtois) Blount. Jeff passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 having reached the age of 56 years, 5 months and 2 days.

On January 20, 1984, Jeff was united in marriage to Lisa Cash, and the they shared 37 years together.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Blount; two sons, J.J. Blount and Joseph (Kate) Blount; four grandchildren, Zane Blount, Colton Blount, Adelyn Blount and Bennett Blount; two siblings, Dennis (Tabitha) Blount, Donna (Dennis) Bowles; In-laws, David Cash and Natalie Boyer, Larry Cash and Annette Portell, Theresa and Phillip Elsey and Norman Stovall; nieces and nephews, Jody, Brody, D.J., Lauren, Drew and Maggie. Jeff is also survived by great nephews, great niece, cousins, dear family, friends and his fur baby, Levi.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Blount Jr.; In-laws: Bobby and Sharon Cash and Junior Cantrell; paternal grandparents, Edwin “Mutt” and Gladys Blount; Maternal grandparents, Ferd and Mary Courtois.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 7th from 4:30 to 8 p.m. A second visitation was held on Monday, February 8th from 9 to 10 a.m. at DeClue Funeral Home.

A funeral service was held on Monday, February 8th at 10 a.m. at the DeClue Chapel with Elder Mike Jarvis officiating. Interment followed at Redbud Memorial Gardens in Potosi.
