Gary “Blaze” Blair

Gary “Blaze” Blair of Potosi, was born on August 4, 1941 at Cub Creek, a son of the late Arlie and Irene (Gilliam) Blair. Gary departed this life on Friday, January 29, 2021 having reached the age of 79 years, 5 months and 25 days.
On September 12, 1964, Gary was united in marriage to Barbara Stinett and they shared 56 years of memories together.
Gary will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his loving wife, Barbara Blair; four children, Michael (Kathy) Blair, Shane (Tyla) Blair, Shannon (Kiley) Blair, Shawnda (Floyd) Dickinson; eleven grandchildren, Zachary, Hannah, Brennon, Brayden, Myla, Madison, Macie, Casey, Charli, Heather and Jason; a special great granddaughter, Annabelle Dickinson; nine great grandchildren, Easton, Taylor, Madison, Kyle, Brylee, Peyton, Kierston, Lauren and Julia; two great-great grandchildren, Jameson and Emory; five siblings, David (Mary Jo) Blair, Polly Brumbaugh, Peggy Kesselring, Pat (Joe) Portell and Rita (Frank) Stephens; three sisters-in-law, Patsy Blair, Joan Blair and Lavera Blair. Gary is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by four siblings, Norray Blair, Dorman Blair, Robin Blair and Norman Blair; in-laws, Sarah Joan Blair, Joe Kesselring and Larry Morton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 2nd from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, February 3rd from 9 to 11 a.m. at DeClue Funeral Home.
A Funeral service was held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the DeClue Chapel. Interment followed in Grassy Hollow Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were respectfully cared for by DeClue Funeral Home.
