From April 9, 1970 Edition... FINAL RITES HELD FOR MRS. NORA MYRTLE TODD
Nora Myrtle Todd, a former citizen of the Belgrade area, passed away March 24, 1970 at the Fairgrounds Manor Nursing Home in St. Louis, Mo. at the age of 53 years, 10 months and 12 days.
Mrs. Todd, wife of Richard Todd, was born in Belgrade, April 12, 1916, the daughter of Henry and Mary Ellen (Seabourne) Queen and had been living in McDade, Texas for the past several years. She had worked as a baker and clerk most of her life.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary George of Florissant, Mo. and two brothers, James Queen of Fulton, Mo. and Clyde Queen of Arnold.
The body lay in state at White Funeral Chapel in Ironton until Friday, March 27 at which time final rites were conducted at the Caledonia Methodist Church. Rev. J. Wesley Thomas officiated at the 2 p.m. services and interment was in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Caledonia. Funeral services were under the direction of White Funeral Home of Ironton.
