John Woolford Hochstatter

John Woolford Hochstatter of Mineral Point, was born on November 27, 1942, a son to the late Thurman and Rosemary (Skiles) Hochstatter. On October 29, 1966, John was united in marriage to Helen Mae Coleman and they shared nearly fifty-four years together.
John departed this life on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 having reached seventy-seven years of age.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his two siblings; Alice Hochstatter and Robert “Bob” Hochstatter; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John O. “Sam” and Mae Coleman and in-laws; Randy and Jeannie Coleman.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Helen Mae Hochstatter; three children; John Jeffrey (Debbie) Hochstatter, Clarissa (Joseph) Rackoban and Maegan (Brock) King; seven grandchildren; Holli (John) Malugen, J.T. Hochstatter, Jayleigh King, Cayden King, Connor King, Bennett Rackoben and Adalie Rackoben; two great-grandchildren; Austyn and Witten; in-laws, William O. (Brenda) Coleman and many dear nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th at DeClue Funeral Home from 9:30 until 11:30 A.M.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, September 25th at 12 Noon at St. James Catholic Church in Potosi, officiated by Father Rodger Fleming.
Interment was held at Calvary Cemetery where John received full military honors presented by the United States Army and VFW Post 6996.
All funeral arrangements have been cared for by DeClue Funeral Home.
