Paul Edward Boyer

Paul Edward Boyer of Fenton, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at his residence at the age of 73 years. He was born on Christmas Day 1946 at Recola, Missouri, the son of the late Claude Benedict and Agatha Velma (Thebeau) Boyer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters, Angela Dawn Boyer and Daniele Renee Boyer, a brother, Joseph “Butch” Boyer and a sister Veronica Juliette.

Paul was a proud U. S. Army Veteran and served his country during the Vietnam War. He was retired from Walmart where he had worked in management for many years. He was a long-time and faithful member of St. Paul Catholic Church of Fenton. In his spare time, he enjoyed music, making rosaries and spending time with his family.

Paul is survived by his wife of over 53 years, JoAnn Marie (Coleman) Boyer of Fenton, a daughter Christina (& Ronald) Grau of Fenton, a brother James (& Lanie) Boyer of Potosi, two sisters, Cyrilla Boyer of Old Mines and Mary Pat (& Michael) Pratt of Viburnum, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held from 5- 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30th at the Mahn Funeral Home in Desoto. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Msgr. Kevin Callahan at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 1st at St. Paul Catholic Church, 15 Forest Knoll Drive, Fenton, Missouri. Interment with full military honors will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home or a procession to the church on Thursday morning. If attending the Mass or interment service please be advised that masks are required at both locations. In lieu of flowers memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Heart Association or Masses. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Mahn Funeral Home of Desoto.
