John William Province

John William Province of Caledonia, was born on October 13, 1937 in St Louis, a son to the late Marion and Jennie Eldridge Province. John passed away on March 13, 2021 having reached the age of eighty-three years and five months.
Those who remain to mourn his passing including his loving wife, Rose (DeMuth) Province; daughters, Penny Province (husband, Jon Emanuel) and Tracy Reynolds (husband, Tom); son-in-law, Dr. Stanley Sakabu; six grandchildren, Rachel (Craig) Ross, Seth (Lynsie) Wenenn, Clay Sakabu, Jimmy Sakabu, John Sakabu and Tom Sakabu; six great grandchildren, Alli, Jasper, Anna, Paige, Natalie and Madilyn; sister, Alice McConnell; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Linda Montgomery; nephews, David BrewerMark Brewer, and Paul Montgomery; niece, Karen Swaringim. John is also survived by stepchildren and step-grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Jennie Province; first wife, Jimmye Lou (Montgomery) Province; beloved daughter, Cindy Lyn Province.
John was a hard-working, honest, funny man who adored his family. He loved being outdoors—hunting, fishing or just enjoying nature. He loved sharing stories about growing up on the farm and about his time in Hawaii. He will be missed beyond words, but we like to think he is now reunited with Jimmye Lou and they are enjoying pina coladas in paradise.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 19th from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation resumed on Saturday, March 20th from 9:30 to 11 a.m..
A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 20th at 11 a.m. at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Mike Jarvis officiating. Interment followed at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery in Caledonia. Full military honors was presented by the United States Marine Corps and VFW Post 6996.
Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
