Services held April 26 for Mrs. Clara Wilson

Funeral services were held in Potosi on Tuesday, April 26, for Mrs. Clara Wilson.

Mrs. Wilson was born near Potosi on August 18, 1891, and was united in marriage to William Henry Wilson on April 11, 1917. She was the daughter of W. T. (Tom) and Lucy Wilson, and was 68 years old at the time of her death. She spent most of her life in Washington County.

At the age of 18 she professed faith in Christ, and she became a member of the Church of God in Potosi in 1948. Upon moving to Desoto she transferred her membership to the Church of God there remaining a member until her death.

Survivng are her daughter, Mrs. Blanche Corder; three grandchildren, Mrs. Doris Sisk, Donald and Brenda Corder; two great-grandchildren, Donna Rae and Michael Lynn Sisk; three sisters, Myrtle Hand of Dixon, Mo.; Lillie Bailey of Potosi; and Laura Dotson of Manchester, Mo.; one brother, Elmer Wilson, of DeSoto, Mo.; and other relatives and friends. Her husband preceded her in death by two years.

Funeral services were conducted at the Church of God, with Brother Higgins officiation. Burial was in the Sunset Hills Cemetery, under the direction of Sparks Funeral Home.
