Thomas A. Abney, of Mineral Point, Missouri passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Ironton on Friday, April 24 at approximately 6:30 a.m. Mr. Abney was born on December 25, 1871, in Kentucky. He was 98 years of age at his death.

Mr. Abney is survived by nieces and nephews and numerous friends in this area.

Services were conducted at the Don Sparks Chapel in Potosi on Sunday, April 26, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paul Murrell officiating. Interment was held in the New Masonic Cemetery in Potosi with Don Sparks Funeral Home in charge of all the arrangements.
