J. Bell Dies February 24

Dr. William H. Townsend, 83, father of Mrs. Francis J. Bell, died on Friday, Feb. 24 in Mo. Baptist Hospital, St. Louis. He had practiced medicine 50 years prior to his retirement in 1941. Dr. Townsend moved to St. Louis County in 1904 from Bismarck.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, Feb. 26 at the Jay B. Smith Funeral Home in Maplewood. Burial was in Valhalla Cemetery.

Besides Mrs. Bell, a son Stanley M. Townsend, survives.
