From May 5, 1960 Edition... Joseph Johnson Rites Conducted April 26

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, April 26 at Tiff for Mr. Joseph Nary Johnson, who died at St. Mary’s Hospital, Ironton, April 24.

Mr. Johnson was born August 15, 1900 in Washington County and was 59 years old at the time of his death.

Surviving are his widow and the following children; Freda Smith of Los Angeles; Valley Strout of Baltimore, Md.; Joseph LeRoy Johnson, Kirksville; Daniel, Samuel and Joseph N., of St. Louis; and Randall, Lindell, Donald, Cecil, Michael, Martha Jane, Mitchell, Mary, Richard, Ronnie, Wynne and Rodger, of Tiff. One daughter preceded him in death. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted st St. Joseph’s Church, Tiff, with the Rev. Francis B. Maytas officiating. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
