Rites Held For

Mrs. Zora Johnson

Funeral services were conducted last Friday, March 19, for Mrs. Zora Catherine (Martin) Johnson, who died at her home near Potosi on March 16.

Mrs. Johnson was born February 11, 1883, near Palmer and was 77 years old at the time of her death. She was married to Warren Johnson on February 26, 1902, and to this union one son, Paul was born.

Surviving are her son, Paul; three sister -- Mrs. Ollie Sloan of Farmington; Mrs. Pearl Secor, Granite City, Ill.; and Mrs. Hallie McNelly, Desloge; one aunt, Mrs. George Crump of Potosi; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Smith’s Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. J. Purd Hays officiating. Burial was in the Martin Cemetery.
