Easter Celebration – Potosi Lions Fairgrounds Hosted Fun Event with Eggs, Music, Prizes & Worship

April 08, 2021

The weather was beautiful on Saturday, April 3rd as the Potosi Lions Fairgrounds played host to several hundred children as they ran, played and found literally thousands of Easter eggs.

Belgrade State Bank employees and volunteers stuffed eggs for weeks coming up to Saturday. It took about 7 to 10 minutes for the brightly colored eggs to be claimed by the kids.

The Potosi Lions served Lion Doc’s famous pancakes early. The estimate was that Doc Villmer probably made a little over 300 or so hot cakes during the morning.

Bank employees, volunteers from Reviving Hope Church, Potosi First Assembly Church and the Potosi Lions were busy up until 11 a.m. when the egg hunt was on.

The children enjoyed Clydesdale wagon rides and train rides along with face painting, a petting zoo, live music, bounce houses, snow cones, hot dogs and bottled water. There were over 800+ kids registered for the prize drawings.

Those in attendance enjoyed faith based music, an uplifting message reminding everyone why Easter is celebrated and an invitation and encouragement to attend the ‘church of your choice’, the doors are open!
