From May 4, 1950 Edition... Irene Charboneau Dies From Heart Attack
Mrs. Irene Charboneau, 46, died at the home of her son Ardell Weathers in Potosi on April 24, 1950, from heart disease. She had been under a doctor’s care several months. Funeral services were held at Sparks Funeral Home last Friday at 2:00 p. m. Burial was in Potosi.
Myrtle Irene (Haggard) Charboneau was born to William and Eveline Haggard on March. 14, 1904, at Bonne Terre. She was united in marriage to Ardell Weathers of East St. Louis in 1919. A son, Ardell, Jr., was born to this union. Mr. Weathers preceded his wife in death several years. She was then married to Luther Charboneau, who survives. Besides her husband and son she is survived by two grandchildren, three brother, Otis Haggard of Potosi, Henry of St. Louis and Frank of East St. Louis, four sisters, Mrs. Mary Skaggs and Mrs. Annie Benson of Potosi, Eliza Bullock and Susie Sullivan of East St. Louis.
