From April 30, 1970 Edition... Mary M. Boyer Services Held

Mrs. Mary M. Boyer, widow of the late B.. Boyer of Cadet, Mo., passed away at a nursing home at Webster Groves, Mo., April 4, 1970 at the age of 98. She was born March 13, 1872, the daughter of Benjamin and Mary Polittle, near Potosi.

She is survived by two daughters and four sons; Mrs. C.J. DeGonia (Lorena) of Granite City, Ill., Mrs. Gladys Drum of Denver, Colo., Norman Boyer of Lincoln, Ill., Harold Boyer of Highland, Ill., Roy Boyer of Cadet, Mo., and Allen Boyer of St. Louis. One son, Marvin preceded her in death last November 19. She is also survived by two brothers and one sister; Clarence and Winfred Politte, both of Madison, Ill., and Miss Frances Politte of Fort Collins, Colo. Mrs. Boyer and husband also partly raised one of thier grandsons, Sgt. Wm, Boyer, who is now stationed in Waco, Texas.

Requiem Mass was held at St. Joachim’s Church in Old Mines, where she was baptized and married. Services were conducted by Rev. Father Edward Schramm.
