From June 15, 1950 Edition... Mrs. Alice Hayes Dies In Potosi

Mrs. Alice Josephine Hayes (nee White), daughter of Acquilla and Rebecca White, was born Aug. 27, 2879, in Bonne Terre, and departed this life in Potosi on June 10, 1950, at the age of 70 years, 9 months, 13 days. She died at the home of her brother John W. White in Potosi. She was united in marriage to Jos. Hayes on May 25, 1914. Her husband preceded her in death six years ago.

Mrs. Hayes is survived by one son Charles Hayes of Seattle, Wash., one grandson Marvin Hayes of St. Louis one granddaughter Sandra Lynn Hayes, and one brother Mr. White.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wesley Thomas at Belgrade Methodist Church on Sunday, June 11.. Burial was in Bryan cemetery under direction of Sparks Funeral Home.
