Fields of Hope, an area non-profit, has opened a new campground on Villmer Road, just off Highway 21 in Old Mines. The property hosts three tiny houses that have been finished for daily living or weekend enjoyment. The group also has two campers set up at the property along Old Mines Creek as well.

The promotion for ‘Fields of Hope’ is restoring lives, fostering faith, building futures. Part of the program is to provide support for foster children that are ‘aging out’ of foster care. Foster families also will be using the facilities for retreats and family building.

The non-profit offers weeks, weekends, or days for sponsorship to provide support for foster families from the St. Louis and South-central Missouri region.
