Karen Marie Bailey

Karen Marie Bailey, 76, formerly of Moberly, passed away on September 29, 2020 in Fenton.

Karen was the daughter of Donald and Helen E. (Payne) Portell, she married Kenneth Politte in 1962 and from this marriage there were 3 children; in later years, she married Charles Bailey on August 17th, 1984. She and Charles lived in Moberly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and step-dad, Joesph Degonia, one son: Kurt Politte, husband, Charles Bailey; brothers; Patrick Payne Jimmy Portell, Michael Portell and Keith Portell, and a great niece, Scout Merkel.

Karen is survived by her son, Kenneth (Terri) Politte of Potosi; daughter, Darla (Keith) Stenzel of St. Louis; 2 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brothers: Dale Portell, Steve Portell, Dennis Portell, Derill Portell, John Portell and Dave Portell; as well as her half-brother, Joesph Degonia. sister-in-laws Wilma Kernan, Jan Gilliam, Joan Kincaid, Sandy Swift, Rachel Politte, and one great aunt Martha Portell. Lots of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st, at the Million Taylor Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. A graveside service took place on Friday, October 2nd, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville.
