Esther Scott

Esther Marie Scott of Mineral Point was born on September 3, 1925, a daughter of the late Clifford and Lola Chandler Dicus. Esther went to her heavenly home on Monday, May 17, 2021, having reached the age of ninety-five years, eight months and fourteen days.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her three children, Sylvia Miller, Warren (Cricket) Scott, and Donald Scott; grandchildren, Diana Patterson, Addie Marie Fortune, Linda, Aaron “Buddy” Gunnells, Alaina Dean, Donald Miller, Theresa Schuler, Kathy Cowell, Sheila Keyo, Terry Rulo, Deon Robinson, Jeannie Hart, Ruth Edgar, Jerry Rulo, and Ronnie Scott Jr; many great-grandchildren; sister, Pat (Robert) Rulo.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Lola Dicus; loving husband, Ralph Roscoe Scott, who passed away on September 11, 2007; son, Ronnie Scott Sr.; grandson, Billy Joe Dean; siblings, Darrell Dicus, Jenny Tackett, Howard Dicus, and Johnny Dicus.

A visitation was held on Thursday, May 20th from 4:30 p.m. to 8 pm. Visitation resumed on Friday, May 21st from 9 to 11 a.m. at DeClue Funeral Home.

A funeral service was held on Friday, May 21st at 11 a.m. at the DeClue Memorial Chapel. Interment followed at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Potosi.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
