Rites Conducted

Funeral services were conducted Sunday in Mineral Point for Mrs. Mable Walton Engledow. Mrs. Engledow, 73 years old, was found dead in bed early Friday morning, apparently the victim of a heart attack.

Services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Mineral Point Methodist Church, with the Rec. Raymond Belfield officiating. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Engledow, daughter of the late Henry and Alice Walton, was born December 20, 1886. She was united in marriage to Dave Landrigan, who preceded her death. To this union two children were born - Nellie Landrigan Harris of Washington, D.C., and Dave Landrigan, of Mineral Point.

Later she was married to Ode Engledow, who also preceded her in death. To this union one child was born - Lucy Engledow Lewis, of California.

Also surviving are three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, P.C. Walton, of Potosi Lakesite; and other relatives and friends.

She joined the Methodist Church in Blackwell 30 years ago. Ten years ago she moved her mombership to the Mineral Point Methodist Church, where she was a faithful member until her death. She was also a past matron of the Dillon Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, of Blackwell.

Out-of-town relatives attending the funeral services were Mrs. Joseph Walton of DesArc, and Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Boswell, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. “Rusty” Walton and two daughters, Mrs. Buddy Walton, and Mrs. Clara Johnson, all of St. Louis.
