Carolyn Kaye Forbes

Carolyn Kaye Forbes of Potosi was born on June 14, 1948 in Potosi, a daughter of the late Chester and Helen Marie (Underwood) Weston. Carolyn passed away peacefully on Friday, June 11, 2021 at her home, having reached the age of 72 years, 11 months, and 28 days.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her three children, David Sansegraw (wife, Bridgette), Doug Sansegraw (wife, Leslie), and Dawn Sansegraw Minson; nine grandchildren, Dave (Jill) Sansegraw, Nicholas Sansegraw, Zach Sansegraw, Kayelee Bodimer, Isaiah Sansegraw, Nick Juliette and Jerra Randall, Noah Juliette, Matias Rodriquez and Micah Rodriquez; two great granddaughters, Addison Sansegraw and Rilee Bone; eight siblings, Mike (Faye) Weston, Skip (Angie) Weston, Wayne (Doyla) Weston, Jackie (John) Portell, Carol (Bobby) McClain, Margie (Harry) Brown, Marilyn (Steve) Politte, Debbie Kline and Sid Arment; longtime companion, Bud Forbes; additional family, Doug and Rhonda Glaser, Pat and Robin Moran, Matt and Eleanor Forbes; Ryan (wife, Chelse), Lainey, Maddux, Maelynn, Allison (husband, Wesley), Kyle (wife, Amanda), Kathlynn, Thomas, Tatum, and Cameron. Carolyn also leaves behind many special nieces, nephews.

In addition to her father and mother, Carolyn is preceded in death by six siblings, Angie Reese, Diane White, Dixie Morgan, Pat Fones, Bob Cox, and Jim Dees.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 15th from 5 to 8 p.m. at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation resumed on Wednesday, June 16th from 9 to 11 a.m.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 16th at 11 a.m. in the DeClue Chapel with Elder Mike Jarvis officiating. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
