Irma Jean Dicus

Irma Jean Dicus, 72 of Potosi went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 25, 2021. She was born on April 13, 1949 in Ironton, a daughter to the late Frank Thompson and Dorothy (Knapp) Thompson. On January 3, 1968, Irma was united in marriage to Johnnie Dicus and they shared 53 years together.

Irma was a member of Springtown Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing specials at her church. Her hobbies were, gardening, sewing, spending time outdoors with her animals, painting and taking pictures, but her favorite past time was spending time with her family, her great granddaughters were her world.

Irma will be missed by all who knew and loved her, including her loving husband, Johnnie Dicus; son, Chris Dicus and wife Tina; grandchildren Randi Dickinson and husband Nathan; Austin Dicus and Blair Dicus; great grandchildren, Savannah and Ashlyn Dickinson; sister, Diana Wright and husband Richard; brother-in-law, Marvin Dicus and wife Mary, Robert Dicus and wife Ann. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Irma was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer; brother-in-law Darrell Dicus; sister-in-law, Donna Dicus, father and mother-in-law, Moses and Gladys Dicus.
Visitation was held from 10 A.M.-1 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home on June 28th. A funeral service was held at 1 P.M. with Bryce Wilson officiating. Interment followed at Red Bud Cemetery, Highway 8 west of Potosi. Serving as pallbearers were Austin Dicus, Nathan Dickinson, Stanley Knapp, Richard Wright, Matthew Wright, Eugene Dicus and honorary pallbearers Chris, Johnnie, Jeff Pashia and J.M. Karsch.

All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
