Claudine Rasnic

Claudine Rasnic of Florissant was born on November 15, 1930 in St. Louis a daughter of the late Alfred and Eleanor (Veninga) Kautz. Claudine passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021, having reached the age of ninety years, seven months, and twenty days.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her children, Richard (Patty) Henry, Carol (Curtis) Melvin, Peggy (Bill) Smith, Doris Williams; step children, Sue Rasnic, Delphia (Cliff) Bridgman, Guy (Willa) Rasnic, and Renee (John) Killian; grandchildren, Leslie (Tracey) Juliette, Erica Johnson, Becky Weston and fiancé Jeremy O’Hanlon, Brandy (Jeremy) Henderson; great grandchildren, Britney, Daelyn, Hailey, Lydia, Janiah, Gavin, Zach, Meagen, Kaitlyn, Hunter (“Aka: Tanner” according to Grandma Claudine), Kenyatta, and Isaak; great great grandchildren, Savannah, Shannondoa, Wyatt, and Easton; sister, Dorothy Wood; sister-in-laws, Melba (Corky)McGee, Annabelle McCoy, Rhonda Rasnic, Joanne Henry, Mary Henry, Wilma (Brad) Wright, and Marie Gamble; brother-in-laws: Alvin Henry, Raymond (Darlene)Henry, and Edward (Donna) Henry. She is also survived by many step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Claudine was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Eleanor Kautz; first husband, Junior Early Henry; second husband, Glendell Rasnic; step sons, Larry Rasnic and Daniel Ray Rasnic; grandson, Billy Smith; siblings, Eugene Duffield, Lillian DuVall, Irvin Duffield, and Walter Duffield; daughter-in-law, Liz Henry.

A visitation was held on Friday, July 9th from 5 to 8 p.m. at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation continued on Saturday, July 10th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

A funeral aervice was held on Saturday, July 10th at noon at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jeff Richards officiating. Interment followed at White Oak Grove Cemetery in Shirley.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
