Betty June Link

Betty June Link of Salem was born on September 30, 1935 in Potosi, a daughter of the late Issac and Effie Mae (Haggard) Benson. Betty passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 having reached the age of eighty-five years, nine months, and fifteen days.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her son, Randy (Dottie) Link; adopted daughter, Debbie Hendrix; grandchildren, Nathan Link (fiancé Maria), Becky (Gene) Humphrey , Benjamin (Korra) Elliott , Christopher Link, Eric Krock (fiancé Jessica), Lacey (Thomas) McMahan, Dustin Anderson, Kelsey (Mark) Stanley, Jayden Hicks, Heather Link, and Mandy Drennon; many great grandchildren; siblings, Ernie (Sharon) Benson, Linda (Clarence) Miner, and Joyce (Jim) Wilkerson; brother-in-law, Troy (Dorothy) Link; sisters-in-law, Norma (Ronald) Miller, Shirley Link (Vincent, deceased), and Shirley Link (Earl, deceased). Also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and her beloved cat, Tom Tom.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Issac and Effie Benson; husband, Harold Raymond Link, married on June 6, 1952, and spent sixty-four years together; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Debbie Link; siblings, Jerri Holmes, Carol Miner and Norma Jean Yount; daughter-in-law, Holly Link. She was also preceded in death by many other dear family members.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 19th from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation continued from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20th.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 20th at 11 a.m. at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Bro. Gary Petty officiating, assisted by Pastor Gary Greenlee. Interment followed at Redbud Memorial Gardens in Potosi.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
