Dora Patterson

Dora Maebell Patterson of Tiff was born on November 7, 1926 in Berryman, a daughter to the late Andrew and Ethel Gilliam Hayes. Maebell passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021, having reached the age of ninety-four years, eight months, and ten days.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her children, Virginia (Everett) DeClue, James (Linda) Patterson, Larry Patterson, Paul (Delores) Patterson, Billy (Mary) Patterson, Fay Patterson, Erma (Ron) Hall, Bobby (Rebecca) Patterson, Jackie (Teresa) Patterson, and Diane (James) Fisher; twenty-one grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, and seven great great-grandchildren; siblings, Hershel Hayes, Thomas Hayes, Eunice Jordan, Mary Wren and Elmer Hayes.

Maebell was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Ethel Hayes; husband of sixty-one years, Willie E. Patterson; children, Elmer Patterson and Ida Jane Patterson; siblings, Donna Eye, Sue Ingram, David Hayes, Jim Hayes and Paul Hayes.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 21st from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at DeClue Funeral Home.

A funeral service followed the visitation on Wednesday, July 21st at 1 p.m. with Rev. Johnny Wren officiating. Interment followed at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Potosi.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
