Peggy Lee Yount of Cedar Hill was born on September 26, 1956, in St. Louis, a daughter of the late Marvin Leon and Janie Maebell (Welker) Yount. Peggy passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021, having reached the age of sixty-four years, nine months, and twenty-eight days.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her siblings, Steven (Karen) Yount, Pamela (Donald) Swaringim, and Paul (Lisa) Yount; four nieces and two nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Janie Maebell Yount; sister, Patricia Coffman; and nephew, Steven Yount.

After getting sober in approx 1987, AA meetings became a big part of Peggy’s life. For over 20 years she became a sponsor to countless people and dedicated herself to them all hours of the day and night. She had a love for them and wanted to help them like she had been helped. She was a blessing to so many people.

A visitation was held on Wednesday, July 28th from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi.

A funeral service followed the visitation at 1p.m. on Wednesday, July 28th at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mike Jarvis officiating. Interment followed at Antioch Cemetery in Belgrade.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
