Brenda Kay Smith

Brenda Kay Smith of Mineral Point departed this life on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, having reached the age of 63 years and 21 days. Brenda was born on July 1, 1958 in St. Louis, a daughter of the late Glen and Betty (Atchley) Smith.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her husband, Karl Smith; son, Ryan Smith; daughter, Carla Jean Smith; grandson, Caleb Cross; sister, Donna Goodson (husband, Donnie); sister-in-law, Mary Smith; aunt, Judy Presley; special nephews: Denny and Darren Smith; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her father and mother, Brenda was preceded in death by grandparents, Ione Valdez and Eugene Atchley; and three brothers, Wayne, Danny, and Mike Smith.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 26th from 4:30 to 8 P.M. and Tuesday, July 27th from 9 to 11 A.M. at DeClue Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 27th at 11 A.M. at DeClue Funeral Home.

Interment followed at New Diggins Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
