POTOSI FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION READY FOR FALL – The players were being fitted for equipment at the Washington County Library pavilion on Monday evening, Aug. 9th, 2021 in Potosi. The teams consist of a 12U group, a 10U group and an 8 & Under group. The 12 & 10 teams play full contact football while the 8 team is a flag football program. The teams play in the I-55 League and face teams from Fredericktown, Ste. Genevieve, Windsor and Grandview. The League teams just began practice and the coaches were glad to see the players back on the field, getting ready for the Fall schedule. Most games are played in pairs, 10U & 12U, so that families with children on both can participate together. Check out the P.F.A. on social media. The teams are the ‘Junior Trojans’ and play locally at Trojan Field. The Association appreciates the support of the community as their goal is to provide good safe equipment for the youth to have during the season.
