George Arvin Politte

George Arvin Politte of Mineral Point was born on May 20, 1935 in Belgrade, a son to the late Clarence Politte and the late Lucy Woods. George passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021, having reached the age of eighty-six years, two months, and twenty-five days.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his wife of 7 years, Judy Politte; step-children, Jeannie (Gary) Hinkle, Carla (Leonard) Bone, Michael (Melissa) Gensler; grandchildren, Travis (Georgia) McMahan, and Amy Gagnon; step-grandchildren, Nathan (Natalie) Hinkle, Justin Hinkle, Jeremy Bone, Tyler (Carrissa) Bone, Zachary Bone, Nicholas Quiles, and Megan (Ricky) Thomure; great grandchildren, Heather, Stephanie, Laura, Anthony, Ethan, Angelina, Keira, Skylar, Dean, Lexi, Wyatt, and Everly.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lucy Politte; first wife, Alma Lee Politte, who passed away on May 21, 2003; children, Terry Wayne Politte, and Deborah Ann Gagnon; great granddaughter, Christina Yarbrough; siblings, Ethel Gensler, Alice Nelson, Jack Politte, Geneva Politte, Shorty Politte, Percy Politte, and Chub Politte.

Visitation was held on Thursday, August 19th from 5 to 8 p.m. at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation continued on Friday, August 20th from 9 to 11 a.m.

A funeral service was held on Friday, August 20th at 11 a.m. at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Robert Wade officiating. Interment followed at Hopewell Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi.
