Donald Joe True, Sr.

Mr. Donald Joe True, Sr., age 83 of Mayfield, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 9:35 P.M. at his residence.

He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church; He was a retired Episcopalian Priest; and he was a U.S. Marine Veteran.

Mr. True is survived by his wife- Patricia Veatch True of Mayfield, Ky; two sons- Joe True of Concord, Ca and Aaron True (Bob Betis) of Oakland, Ca; two daughters- Deborah (David) Starkey of San Jacinto, Ecuador and Melissa Dawn (Terry) Mohler of Mayfield, Ky; three brothers- David True, Danny (Debbie) True, and Jon Wayne (Kay) True all of Water Valley, Ky; eight grandchildren- Jessica Mason, Mikayle Hart, Tucker Starkey, Amanda Seronce, Tyler Starkey, Kim Crider, Sarah Crooks, and Grace Hogarty; ten great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his brother- Richard Dale True; son- Richard Adam True; grandson- Adam Hogarty; parents- Arnold Dee & Ruth Wright True.

Funeral Mass was held on Thursday, July 8th at 11 A.M. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Eric Riley and Deacon Michael Clapp officiating. Burial with Military Rites will follow in the Mayfield Memory Gardens. Visitation was held from 5-8 P.M. on Wednesday, July 7th at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, Ky.

Pallbearers were Tucker Starkey, Tyler Starkey, Mitchell Mason, J.D. Hart, Ethan Crooks, and Andrew Crider. Honorary Pallbearers were David True, Danny True, Jon Wayne True, Joe True, Aaron True, David Starkey, Terry Mohler, and Bob Betis.
