Edgar Ivan Leach

Edgar Ivan Leach, of Washington was born on September 1, 1938 in Elsenor, a son of the late Noal Leach and the late Dora (Boxx) James. Ed as many lovingly knew him by, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Washington, having reached the age of 82 years, 11 months, and 12 days.

On May 9, 1959 Ed was united in marriage to Deloris DeClue and they shared 62 years together.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his wife, Deloris "Dodie" Leach; daughter, Connie Sronce; four grandchildren, Krystal Mills (husband, Marty), Nicky Pyatt, Jessica Lynn Jaeger, Cara Friend; seven great grandchildren, Mariah, Jacob, Austin, Mason, Caleb, Colin, and Luke; sisters-in-law, Pat Sherman and Jean Meyer; nephew, Ivis Leach; niece, Carol Sohn; and many dear friends.

In addition to Ed's father and mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Friend and brother, Willie Leach.

Visitation was held on Thursday, August 19th from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 2 p.m. held at The Ridge Church in Villa Ridge. Pastor Roger Johnson officiated Ed's service with Bro. George Dohm, Bro. Steve Schoultz, and Pastor Dave Greiner assisting.

Interment followed at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Potosi. Funeral arrangements by DeClue Funeral Home.
