Lena Faye Marie Nickelson

Lena Faye Marie Nickelson was born on April 12, 1980 at St. Louis, a daughter to Eric Johnson and Sherry (Coleman) Johnson. Lena passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 21, 2021 having reached the age of 41 years, 4 months, and 9 days.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her fiancé, Chris West; daughter, Chadley Faye Nickelson; son, Laric Jayce Nickelson; dad and mom, Eric and Sherry Johnson; two special boys in her life, Gunner and Sawyer West; brother, Joseph Johnson; nieces and nephews, Hayley Johnson, Jasmine Johnson, Lily Stringer, Sage Stringer, Jacob Johnson, and Zane Johnson; maternal grandparents, Tom and Alma Curtner; and dear family friend, Brenda West. Lena also leaves behind many special aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Lena was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Pansy Johnson and Ila Faye Curtner; and dear family friend, Jerry West.

The family received friends on Tuesday, August 24th from 4 to 8 P.M. and Wednesday, August 25th from 9 to 11 A.M. at DeClue Funeral Home.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 25th at 11 A.M. in the DeClue Chapel. Pastor Trevor Kean officiated the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 4550 Montgomery Ave., Suite 1100 N, Bethesda, MD. 20814 or Riding for a Reason.

Interment was held at Redbud Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
