On December 9th, 2020, Valley Caledonia FFA hosted their yearly Greenhand banquet ceremony. This ceremony was held in the high school gymnasium and was for the purpose of recognizing the hard work of all Freshmen and new members. The event started off with the wise words of guest speaker, Jim Reed, from our local Farm Bureau agency. He presented Stetson McCoy with a scholarship and Valley FFA with a grant from the Washington County Farm Tour. After Mr. Reed had finished speaking, our 2020-2021 officer team, Thomas Owings (President), Emma Pulliam (Vice President), Kenley Missey (Secretary), Brant Sanders (Treasurer), Carson Loughary (Reporter), Dylan Connor (Sentinel), Ethan Tiefenauer (Historian), were officially installed. Then, Dylan Connor took the floor to recite the FFA creed, followed by the recognition of the new greenhand recipients of the chapter. Valley Caledonia FFA’s new greenhand recipients consist of Hayden Asbridge, Dylan Conner, Joseph Haverstick, Jason Maxwell, Landon McClain, Kenley Missey, Kaleb Moses, Nikolas Presley, Garrett Redinger, Reed Stadler, Ethan Tiefenauer, Evan Underwood, Keesha Wampler, and Austin Weed.
