WASHINGTON COUNTY AIRPORT HELD RIBBON CUTTING FOR NEW ENTRY – The Washington County Airport Board welcomed several elected officials, local business people and friends and neighbors to a ribbon cutting on Monday, April 19th, 2021. The Airport Board President Sam Rhodes talked about the improvements at the County Airport as well as the goals for continued improvement. Rhodes thanked everyone for their support and involvement. Presiding Commissioner Dave Sansegraw cut the ceremonial ribbon and was joined by local and state office holders as well as representatives from U.S. Senate and House offices. Additionally, Bob Purcell, Purcell Tire & Service was on hand (at center) and talked about his company’s years of support and most recently the hangar move project. The large group enjoyed a beautiful day to visit the Airport and check out the recently moved Purcell Hangar that now houses the Survival Flight helicopter ambulance maintenance shop and is known as Hangar A.
